all macro shots taken with sigma 70-300 APO macro at 300mm with tripod. images are soft due to softness of lens + user error because of using autofocus for macro!! just got this lens, so i am still learning the strengths of the lens.

stop it down to f/8 or f/11++ for Macro. I use the following technique when shooting Macro. Manual focus upto the point I know can get AF, then switch and focus using AF. Seems to work quite OK. With glasses, it is quite difficult to get accurate manual focus.
. And I really enjoyed your Vietnam trip photos too. I've never been there so it was an eye opener for me. Lovely country.
